The Chief Diner
2127 Main Ave., Durango, Colorado
Is known from Coast to Coast for its fine food and service.
This very unique Cafe, all hand painted by a famous Colored
Artist, is made from one of the first Narrow Gauge Railroad
Coaches to come over the D&RGWRR. It was used in the early
eighties by Otto Mears on his once famous Rainbow Route
from Silverton to Ironton, Colo. During the early days it was
attacked by Indians and there were many arrow heads burried
in the wood.
